  • DRC is a 32-bit Windows-Compatible (XP or higher) PC-based repeater control program with private multi-site repeater linking capability* (Using Voice Over IP). Included features:

    No internal modifications to transmitter or receiver are necessary with use of VOX and
    Mic connector PTT control. Can also use classic COR signaling.
    Automatic sound card level setting.

    Easy access to the audio mixer from the menu bar.

    Basic repeater functions, timing, adjustable parameters

    CW Identifier, generates a custom 'cwid.wav' file for periodic CW ID on the tens.

    Voice Identifier, using Microsoft Text-to-Speech (TTS)
    - Voice ID on the hour and on 1st received carrier after 10 min of no recent carrier
    - Optional Voice ID Preamble message
    - Voice ID can be disabled

    Unlimited Scheduled WAV or MP3 Audio File Playback with built-in pause sensing or it can accept manually entered breaks times. Pauses are periods of silence (approx 3-5 seconds) that are recorded into the text to give the transmitter a rest. Manually entered breaks will pause the playback at the designated time.

    Unlimited Scheduled Text to Speech messages.

    DTMF Module* for remote command activation. Default codes (can be re-defined):
    - Enable Guard
    - Enable &Play Voice ID
    - Start CW ID
    - Enable Remote Link
    - Enable COR
    - Enable Transmitter
    - Normal Beep Mode
    - Net Beep Mode
    - Emergency Beep Mode
    - Echo-Back mode
    - Play pre-loaded audio file
    - Terminate All Processes and Reboot Controller
    - Terminate All Processes and Shutdown Controller
    - Disable Voice ID
    - Disable Remote Link
    - Disable Receive Carrier (COR)
    - Manual Shutdown and Disable Transmitter

    DRC can also be totally remote controlled via Remote Desktop or other product such as LogMeIn, etc.

    The Receiver audio output connects to Sound Card Line-In connector

    The Transmitter audio input connects from Sound Card Line-Out connector

    Optional COR (Carrier Operated Relay) input or better termed
    'Carrier Operated Repeater'. Modification-less receiver is possible with the VOX feature.

    Optional VOX operation. With VOX, The use of DCS, CTCSS or PL tone-coded squelch is recommended to eliminate false transmitter keying.

    RS-232 serial port control for COR lead control and PTT control

    One-serial port operation using DSR for COR and RTS for PTT

    Optional 'Rig-Blaster' operation using DTR for PTT and VOX Receiver Audio detect

    Manual Carrier and Transmitter simulation control on panel

    Anti-Kerchunk 'Guard' timer enables after 5 minutes of transmitter inactivity
    - adjustable

    Log file of DRC activity (may be disabled)

    Remote Module* for private multi-site linking to other DRC-equipped repeaters or user-provided Asterisk VOIP PBX. Remote IAX Conference bridge (such as an Asterisk or other IAX station compatible IP-PBX) runs in conference bridge mode (recommended). An Asterisk platform running FreePBX needs no special modification to run with DRC.

    - With the remote module, you can make direct VOIP calls to other DRC equipped systems or you can make a call to a conference bridge which can potentially connect many DRC sites and other stand-alone users calling in from IP phones or Soft IP Phone Software using the IAX2 protocol.

    Easy timing and program parameter changes with Options screen

    The Watchdog Module* monitors the main DRC program, DTMF* and Remote* Modules. It E-mails alerts to the system admin if a program fails to respond, provided an internet connection is made to DRC. The Watchdog module can also reboot the PC if the main program stops responding.

    Phone patch ability with user-provided IP-PBX Remote Link (such as Asterisk / FreePBX).
